PROF / TRAC was initiated by an interdisciplinary team representing important stakeholders dealing with nZEB construction and refurbishment: universities, European umbrella associations of engineers, architects and social housing, their frontrunner national members committed to pilot the trainings schemes, and organisations involved in national Build-Up Skills initiatives.

HIA’s clients are architects, building developers and contractors, energy agencies, local, national and international governments. HIA has is working on the cross section of buildings and installations. HIA has extended experience with integrated design approach integrated NZE renovation and re-use of buildings within national and international projects.
Main tasks in the project is the coordination and management in WP1 and the input and access to the IDES-EDU training material.
Federation of European Heating and Air conditioning Associations | REHVA | EU (Netherlands)
The Federation of European HVAC Associations, founded 1963, is an umbrella organisation joining national associations in the field of building services engineering. REHVA represent more than 100.000 HVAC engineers and technicians from 25 European countries. REHVA is the premier independent professional HVAC organization in Europe, dedicated to the improvement of health, comfort and energy efficiency in all buildings and communities. In this area, REHVA has a significant impact on national and international strategic planning and research initiatives, as well as on the associated educational and training programmes.
In PROF-TRAC REHVA is in charger for the development and further deployment of the Training and Qualification Platform by engaging Member Associations in the scheme.
Architects’ Council Europe | ACE | EU (Belgium)
The Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE) is the representative organisation for the architectural profession at European level. Its headquarters and Secretariat are located in Brussels. Its membership currently consists of 46 Member Organisations, which are the regulatory and professional representative bodies in all European Union (EU) Member States, and accession Countries, Switzerland and Norway. Through them, the ACE represents the interests of over 545.000 architects from 33 countries in Europe.
The principal function of the ACE is to monitor developments at EU level, seeking to influence those areas of EU Policy and legislation that have an impact on architectural practice and on the overall quality and sustainability of the built environment.
In the Prof / Trac project ACE is the WP leader of WP7, responsible for Dissemination and Communication.
Housing Europe | EU (Belgium)
Established in 1988, Housing Europe is a network of 42 national and regional federations which together gather about 43.000 public, social and cooperative housing providers in 22 countries. Altogether they manage over 26 million homes, about 11% of existing dwellings in the EU.

ISSO is the Dutch Knowledge Centre for the building and building services sector. ISSO is founded as a not for profit organization with the aim to coordinate research and organize knowledge transfer to the practitioners in the building and building services sector. ISSO is founded by the various professional associations in this sector. Since our start, this year 40 years ago, ISSO published more as 100 guidelines, publications and research reports. ISSO is also involved in the national, European (CEN) and international (ISO) standardization work in this field.

Czech Technical University Prague | CVUT | Czech Republic
Czech Technical University educates future experts in technical fields.
CVUT group is based on academic staff from Faculty of Civil Engineering - Department of Microenvironmental and Building Services Systems Engineering. The department provides courses in building services systems for study programmes Buildings and Environment, Building Engineering, Architecture and Intelligent Buildings. In pedagogical and research work, the department focuses on various professions in building energy systems, indoor environment, sanitary systems, heating and air-conditioning, artificial lighting, building energy performance, electrical installations and intelligent buildings.
The main task of CVUT in the PROF-TRAC project is to be WP4 leader. This work package is focusing on the preparation and realization of training the trainers.
Aalborg University | AAU | Denmark
Aalborg University (AAU) was inaugurated in 1974 as the fifth Danish university with more than 20,000 students registered. AAU conducts teaching and research in the fields of Humanities, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Medicine. The Architectural Engineering division of the Department of Civil Engineering is concerned with research and education in the analysis, design, construction, and operation of engineering systems. It focuses on an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to achieve optimal building designs and pays special attention to their impacts on the indoor as well as the surrounding environment. This implies integration of architectural design with engineering systems and other key players in all areas of the building process.
In PROF-TRAC AAU will participate in the development and implementation of the educational portal and the “train thetrainers” programme.
Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers | HKIS | Croatia
HKIS is and independent professional organization in charge of chartered mechanical engineers in Croatia representing their common interests. HKIS also supervises that the chartered mechanical engineers workcompliant with the law and the public interest. The Chamber’s activities are based on its public authorities, as stipulated by the Croatian laws. The members of the Chamber, chartered mechanical engineers, are involved in design engineering and/or professional supervision. HKIS will host a “Train the Trainer”, develop national training programs and organizetwo pilot courses in PROF-TRAC.
Spanish Technical Association of HVAC and Refrigeration | ATECYR | Spain
ATECYR was founded in 1974 with the aim of combining efforts of practitioners to achieve better development and implementation air conditioning, heating and cooling technologies in Spain. ATECYR now comprises 13 provincial associations, 1.500 members and 100 Patron Members. ATECYR’S main goals are the creation, collection and dissemination of scientific and technical information, related to the technologies of Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Ventilation, Energy and Environment. ATECYR performs annually nearly 100 technical sessions for over 6.000 professionals and provides about 60 training courses for over 1.200 students.

ZAPS – Chamber of Architecture and Spatial planning of Slovenia is Professional Organization of chartered Architects, Landscape Architects and Planners of Slovenia. It has approx. 1500 members, mainly architects (1200). ZAPS has its headquarters in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
ZAPS is responsible to maintain the register of qualified persons, to execute Professional examination and to oversee conduct of registrants (code, discipline, sanctions), ZAPS`s activities include provision of professional support to members, organisation of Architectural competitions and Continuing professional development learning program.
In the Prof / Trac project ZAPS has task of Organisation of pilot in Slovenia.
Italian Chamber of Architects | CNAPCC | Italy
The National Council of Architects, whose activity of study of professional issues is pursued through the work done by their departments, takes the decisions in order to provide opinion and interpretation about issues and laws concerning the exercise of the profession of architect.
CNAPPC take part inPROFessional multi-disciplinary TRAining and Continuing development in skills for NZEB principles in order with organization and coordination of pilot actions, running of the pilots, monitoring of activities from pilot actions experiences, monitoring of activities and experiences from new locations, exploitation strategy, dissemination and communication plan.
Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians | CKAIT | Czech Republic
The Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians active in construction (ČKAIT) was founded in 1992 by the Act no. 360/1992 Coll. According to Czech law authorization of engineers is compulsory in order to perform selected activities defined by the Building Act. The main task of ČKAIT is to care for the building culture, culture of shaping the environment, and the right and the duty to cooperate in protecting public interests in the field of construction. In PROF-TRAC CKAIT will develop and implement the training courses for engineers.
Danish Society of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Engineers | DANVAK | Denmark
Danvak is a network for technical and scientific professionals working with heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The organisation is a collaboration between the IDA HVAC under the Danish Society of Engineers and Danish Society of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning called VVS Teknisk Forening. Danvak works to improve the members’ qualifications through knowledge sharing, meetings, seminars, conferences and scientific literature. Danvak is member of REHVA. In PROF-TRAC Danvak will develop and implement courses for engineers.
